Project created for a MPA Roses brief titled Doggerland. The brief was to create a brand for a new museum/hotel located in the North East of England. Doggerland was once an area that connected Britain to Europe which sank into the sea thus isolating us. I researched into the history of Doggerland and learnt about an ancient type of building called a crannog which were roundhouses built on the water and decided that the campaign should revolve around a museum that utlised such architecture to create a truly recognisable experience. I created a campaign which would have the Doggerland museum "reemerging" from the sea. For the logo I located a very high resolution image of Britain and used the coastlines shape to create letters.
An advertising campaign that would be placed at beaches throughout the UK which would show a picture of the beach in question with Doggerland placed upon it. The idea was that this would spread intrigue and the campaign would grow from there
This is a mockup I created to provide an idea of what the museum should look like. There would be multiple buildings, museums filled with different forms of artifacts and history, along with hotels and bars.
This typeface was created by using and extremely high resolution image of the UK and selecting multiple areas of coastline to create the shapes of the letters
